Con las primeras lluvias ácidas de Febrero, las grandes palmeras cenicientas soltarán su polvillo muerto, entre el humo rojizo de los incineradores y los enormes avisos publicitarios parpadeando para nadie. Esta ciudad abandonada por los turistas-on-line se abrirá como una flor enferma entre mis manos profanas. Llamadme Ismael, pues esta ballena blanca de concreto y acero, elevada 20 pisos sobre la galería clausurada, es mi insignia de cobardía. Estos techos donde cientos de mecanogaviotas aún cantan su descontento, como la cinta que fluye en la contestadora de un muerto. Con lo recaudado pagaban a los musicos y costeaban sus actos de caridad.<br />El origen Catolico del Hard Rock Chileno se remonta a <em>1970</em> en la <em>Iglesia Santa Filomena</em> del barrio Patronato con bandas como <em>Creciente y Moribundo</em> de un joven inquieto y talentoso Alfonso Vergara quien luego armaria la mitica banda <em>Tumulto</em>. Lo que fue importante, fue una gira que hicimos el año 85-86 de Santiago a Tacna ida y vuelta. O sea tocamos de aquí pa´ya y de haya pa´ca . Íbamos con todo, llevábamos todos los equipos, iluminación, personal.Ibamos 4 vehículos, unos con luces, otros con sonidos. La media gira!"<br /><strong>Poncho Vergara</strong>, lider de <em>Tumulto</em> y toda una generación rockera de los 70 y 80.
